Gabriella Andreasian, CCC-SLP is a pediatric speech-language pathologist who works with children with apraxia of speech, orofacial myofunctional disorders, auditory processing disorders, social communication disorders, autism and other developmental disorders.

EDUCATION 

 

Gabriella received her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology with a minor in Education Studies, in 2014. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Gabriella continued her education at Chapman University in Orange, California, where she received a post-baccalaureate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLP-A) certification in 2015. A year later, Gabriella continued to pursue a Master's Degree at Chapman University in Speech and Language Pathology, where she received her Masters of Science in 2018.

EXPERIENCE

​

Upon completion of her Master's degree, Gabriella completed a clinical fellowship in private practice setting in Los Angeles, CA serving the pediatric population. She continued working in this private practice setting for 5 years before deciding to begin her own practice. Her experience includes providing individualized therapy in the areas of speech, language, Apraxia of Speech, Autism Spectrum Disorder, auditory processing disorders, literacy, social-pragmatics and more. She also organized social-skills groups for children ranging from 18 months to 15 years. 

 

TRAININGS

 

Gabriella has been trained by the PROMPT Institute in the PROMPT technique which is an effective treatment for children with Apraxia of Speech. She has received training through the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders. To further her knowledge in Orofacial Myofunctional Disorders, Gabriella has received training through the BREATHE Institute specifically in the area of pre- and post- operative treatment of lingual and labial frenectomy (tongue and lip-tie). Gabriella's training in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy qualifies treatment for learned oral habits, sleep apnea, swallowing and feeding and speech.

 

Gabriella has also received training in the Social Thinking Curriculum by Michelle Garcia Winner, Executive Functioning training "How do students get things done?" by Michelle Garcia Winner and Lively Letters (a phonemic awareness curriculum).
